December 4: We went to the holiday parade. It was a perfect night for it. A little chilly but there was no snow so it made for a much more comfortable viewing. The kids did great!
December 5: We went and took pictures with Santa! The photographer snapped one picture before Livie started freaking out!
December 11: I was off all day with the kids. I had errands to run in the morning and did quite a few stops without the kids melting down! It was AMAZING! We had such a great time! Later that day we went to Marshfield to meet up with my parents for supper and then go see the Rotary Lights at the Zoo.
December 12: We decorated cupcakes with Mrs. Claus in the morning. Immediately after, Shaun went to pick up our new foster hound, Elvis! The kids and I went home for lunch and naps.
December 13: We put up our tree and Tavin and Livie put up all the ornaments and Tavin put on the angel. They did so great! We also went to Briqs for first ice cream of the season :)
December 15: As part of our Advent calendar, we made new ornaments today!
December 18: Another Advent calendar activity was watching Polar Express. Tavin thoroughly enjoyed the movie and it was on repeat for the next week!
December 24: We headed home to my parents to start our Christmas celebrations!
December 25: CHRISTMAS!! Tavin was so excited to open presents and he did great with waiting until we told him it was time. Thankfully we had enough at Grandma's to keep him occupied from not opening them all at once!
After the events of the day, the entire family (except for a few) went to the movies to see Star Wars. It was a fun time and definitely not something we expected to do on Christmas Day!
December 26: Shaun and I left the kids at my parent's while we took Elvis to his new forever home! It was a long day!
December 27: Shaun and I went to church by ourselves! It was so quiet and stress-free! After getting back to my parents, I just did not feel well. I did a few things and then laid down and then started throwing up!! Not how I wanted to end the holiday weekend. When it was time to go, I stumbled towards the car with fingers crossed that I'd make it home without throwing up. Nope, we had to stop and it just so happened to be in the city in front of someone's house, and they were outside. Really? After getting home, we opened our presents and Shaun took care of the kids while I rested and threw up a few more times. Later that night, Tavin threw up!
December 28: Both Tavin and I were home sick. Unfortunately, he recovered much fast than I did so it wasn't as restful as I thought it was going to be. Around Noon, I got a call from Shaun that Livie had thrown up at daycare and was coming home! I talked to my parents and only my Mom and brother-in-law got it as well.
December 30: Shaun's 35th Birthday! I was planning a surprise for supper but in the early hours of the day, he got sick and started throwing up :( Not the best birthday at all!
December 31: Shaun worked a half day, I was off all day as were the kids. We went to the mall after lunch to wear out the kids a little before nap. Shaun was feeling better so we went out to eat at the Great Dane for his birthday. Then we came home and had a pajama party (at Tavin's request) and watched a movie. I was super tired and we were in bed by 10!! Sucks getting old!
