Olivia's 2nd Birthday!

Dearest Olivia:

You are 2 now!!  I seriously cannot believe how fast you've grown.

You are such a spunky little girl.  You love to do whatever Tavin is doing.  You love fruit and meat and hate most veggies (except broccoli).

You are still my star sleeper.  We lay you down at 7-7:30 and don't hear a peep out of you (unless your sick) until we go into your room in the morning.

You hate having your hair put up.  I'm in denial about it as I constantly play with your hair.  Hopefully some day you'll enjoy someone doing your hair because before you know it, you'll have to do it by yourself!

You are saying more and more words everyday.  We can actually say a word and try and have you repeat it.  It's so funny listening to you because you through extra sounds in when you say them.

Your scar is healing nicely but you can still see the stitch marks. We are hoping that they will go away soon.

You still suck on your thumb... a lot!  Not sure when you are going to break the habit but hopefully you do it on your own and we don't have to force you.

You are still a Mama's girl.  If you hear Tavin asking for me, you do the same.  I feel like I need 4 arms just to hold both of you because you are both getting so big.

For your birthday, we celebrated on May 1.  It was a beautiful day compared to the weather we had been having (cold for end of April).

We had a special surprise planned for you....Elmo came to your party!  You were a little stunned at first but did so well, much better than Tavin did when Elmo came to his party!

Your birthday cake was also Elmo!  Dad again decorated the cake and did such a good job!

We love you to pieces!

Mama

Tavin's 4th Birthday!

So I have not been so good at keeping up with this blog this year.  Our lives have been crazy hectic!  But I'm trying to catch up!

Last picture as a 3 year old:

Tavin opening a present on his birthday:

We celebrated Tavin's birthday on March 19 :)  Crazy to think he is now 4!

Shaun made the cake!  He did such a great job!

Tavin was entertaining us on his birthday!

February Funsies

February 1-5:  Shaun was in Denver all week.  Thankfully my parents came to stay and help out.  I was going to tough it out by myself but then I got a cold and I wasn't even going to chance it.

February 3:  Tavin and I went to the Grand Theater to see Goodnight Moon/Runaway Bunny.  He was so excited for a day date with Mom!  Unfortunately, he lost interest in the show about 3/4 of the way through.

February 6:  We took the kids to see Minions at the theater.  It was Livie's first movie experience and she did fairly well, except for leaking through her diaper.  We went out to eat for pizza afterwards and a little shopping.  The kids did so well!

February 10:  Tavin said that Livie peed on the potty today at daycare and that he was "so proud of her".  Tavin and Livie were "looking" for Valentine's cards from Grandma and Grandpa.

February 12:  Briq's opened!! After supper we took the kids to get some ice cream.  We all loved it!

February 13-14:  We went home to my parents (first time since Christmas!).  Shaun and I went out to a movie on Saturday night.

February 16:  Tavin is officially signed up for 4k!  EEK!!  I can't believe he is going to be 4 next month!

February 24:  Livie let me put her hair in pigtails!  So cute!  Though they didn't stay in very long.

February 26:  Livie went poop on the potty!!  Totally unexpected and definitely not an every time thing but it is progress!  We got a call to foster our first foster with a new agency, Adopt Me,   Definitely been a new experience with a different breed of dog.

January Recap

Happy New Year!!

January 1:  We didn't have much planned for the new year.  Just a normal day at home :)

January 17:  We went to Shaun's mom to celebrate Christmas.

January 30:  Busy day!  We started out with a trip to the vet for Piper.  Then stopped at WinterFest for some outdoor fun.  Thankfully it was a beautiful day.

After lunch and naps we went separate ways with the kids. Shaun took Tavin bowling while I went to a party with Livie.

Our first year not doing trivia since I was little :(  We just had too much going on and with Shaun leaving for Denver we couldn't make it work.

January 31:  Shaun left for Denver for the week.  He was supposed to fly out of Green Bay but there was a mix up in his flights so he ended up flying out of Mosinee.

December Recap

December 4:  We went to the holiday parade.  It was a perfect night for it.  A little chilly but there was no snow so it made for a much more comfortable viewing.  The kids did great!

December 5:  We went and took pictures with Santa!  The photographer snapped one picture before Livie started freaking out!

December 11:  I was off all day with the kids.  I had errands to run in the morning and did quite a few stops without the kids melting down!  It was AMAZING!  We had such a great time!  Later that day we went to Marshfield to meet up with my parents for supper and then go see the Rotary Lights at the Zoo.

December 12:  We decorated cupcakes with Mrs. Claus in the morning.  Immediately after, Shaun went to pick up our new foster hound, Elvis!  The kids and I went home for lunch and naps.

December 13: We put up our tree and Tavin and Livie put up all the ornaments and Tavin put on the angel.  They did so great!  We also went to Briqs for first ice cream of the season :)

December 15: As part of our Advent calendar, we made new ornaments today!

December 18:  Another Advent calendar activity was watching Polar Express.  Tavin thoroughly enjoyed the movie and it was on repeat for the next week!

December 24:  We headed home to my parents to start our Christmas celebrations!

December 25:  CHRISTMAS!!  Tavin was so excited to open presents and he did great with waiting until we told him it was time.  Thankfully we had enough at Grandma's to keep him occupied from not opening them all at once!

After the events of the day, the entire family (except for a few) went to the movies to see Star Wars.  It was a fun time and definitely not something we expected to do on Christmas Day!

December 26:  Shaun and I left the kids at my parent's while we took Elvis to his new forever home!  It was a long day!

December 27:  Shaun and I went to church by ourselves!  It was so quiet and stress-free!  After getting back to my parents, I just did not feel well.  I did a few things and then laid down and then started throwing up!!  Not how I wanted to end the holiday weekend.  When it was time to go, I stumbled towards the car with fingers crossed that I'd make it home without throwing up.  Nope, we had to stop and it just so happened to be in the city in front of someone's house, and they were outside.  Really?  After getting home, we opened our presents and Shaun took care of the kids while I rested and threw up a few more times.  Later that night, Tavin threw up!

December 28: Both Tavin and I were home sick.  Unfortunately, he recovered much fast than I did so it wasn't as restful as I thought it was going to be.  Around Noon, I got a call from Shaun that Livie had thrown up at daycare and was coming home!  I talked to my parents and only my Mom and brother-in-law got it as well.

December 30:  Shaun's 35th Birthday!  I was planning a surprise for supper but in the early hours of the day, he got sick and started throwing up :(  Not the best birthday at all!

December 31:  Shaun worked a half day, I was off all day as were the kids.  We went to the mall  after lunch to wear out the kids a little before nap.  Shaun was feeling better so we went out to eat at the Great Dane for his birthday.  Then we came home and had a pajama party (at Tavin's request) and watched a movie.  I was super tired and we were in bed by 10!!  Sucks getting old!
