So it only took over a month to get our bathroom finished. ::insert angry face here::
To recap, we started the bathroom remodel on April 11. Our new sink top finally came in on May 10, the contractor didn't get to the house until May 13 to install it and the plumber didn't get the faucets and plumbing done until May 17....
The lapse of time SUCKED. But now that it is done, I'm happy with it. Not 100% completely happy but more like I'll can get used to it happy.

Happy Birthday Leanne!
We celebrated our friend, Leanne's birthday on May 7 (yeah I know I'm uber late in posting it). We started out with dinner and margaritas at our favorite place:
Is a salsa chip as good as Italian food?
Some newbies!
Ah! The perfect drink!
Leanne's birthday card was a double bonus as it came with a magnet. Val had the perfect idea to stick the magnet to a knife (well at least it sounds good when you've had a few margaritas!)
All decked out!!
Her birthday ice cream....that Keith ate :)
We had lots of extra chips left and I hated to see them go to waste so we packaged them up in a to go box except there was a few too many so we smushed them and one stuck to the top...hehe
Since they were overflowing I took out my doggie bags and wrapped it like a present :)
Val mentioned that she had a stroller in her car. We all joked that Leanne would fit. After we left the restaurant we tried it, and what'd ya know...Leanne fits!!
After dinner, we went back to our house to play some games! Everyone had a blast!
You can check out more videos on our Youtube Channel :)
And then there's me...after a busy long day I can't help but catch a little nap! And yes it was a very comfy position!

Final Update: Sam
Early tomorrow morning we will be driving Sam to meet someone to take him to his new home--foster home. While it seems like an eternity (aka 4 months) that we have had him, we are now very sad to see him leave. Especially since he is just getting shuffled. Shuffled because of the infection in his ears. The vets we normally go to weren't able to keep the infection under control. In some way, I feel like we failed as Sam's foster parents. Maybe we didn't clean his ears enough, do the drops right, or take care of him properly.
Because of the shuffling, I am worried how Sam will do tomorrow. After we drop him off, someone will drive him for an hour and then he will get dropped off with another person and ride with them for an hour and then finally will go to the person who he will be living with. All the changes and sudden uprooting are not easy on a dog.
There are many things we will miss about him. He is so funny to watch and he is such a good dog. Sadie will also miss him. They have been snuggling up more often and Sadie also likes to play with him, like tear around the house knocking things down type of playing. It'll be a long week or two adjusting for both Sam and Sadie.
One thing we won't miss is him flinging drool EVERYWHERE! Now we will finally be able to scrub down our house! The floors, walls, cupboards, doors, drawers, anything and everything has slobber on it! It's actually rather disgusting.
Sam's absence will also start a new chapter for us. A new chapter where we won't be able to foster for a while. We are sad about not being able to foster, but very excited to see where this next chapter goes!

Minnie's First Month!
I can't believe we've had Minnie for a month already! She has been quite the interesting cat! But we both agree that she was the best fit for us!
Minnie had her spaying and front paw declaw surgery shortly after we got her. She did great! The vet's office fell in love with her and they had to pry her out of someone's arms when Shaun went to pick her up! She is starting to get some hair back on her belly and leg. But it's too cute to see her shaven belly. It looks like a little troll!
Her "look at me I'm so cute and want attention pose"
She has already found her favorite spots in the house:
the back of the couch
on the first step to go downstairs
most recently in the dog's bed
Oh and a few times in the dogs' toy box
Being the good fur mommy that I am, I made her a little bed.
Even Sadie liked it!
It turned out pretty good for a quick 3 hour project! I used fabric I already had and even used some scraps from the burp cloths I made! I stuffed the scraps in the main part of the bed and it made for some ultra soft bedding!
And Minnie's most recent discovery....her tail! We've caught her chasing it a couple of times and it's a riot!

Well...Hello Spring!
It's nice to finally see that Spring has arrived. At least I like to think it has.
We had snow on Tuesday (didn't stick though) and have been about 20 degrees below normal. Our high on Tuesday was the normal low for this time of year ::sigh::
My reasoning Spring has arrived:
First, my tulips are coming up! I thought the deer had chewed them all away last year but they came up! Keeping my fingers crossed that the deer don't eat them this year!
Second, on our anniversary when Shaun and I were lounging in the hammock, we both got a little sunburnt! Yes, we do live in Wisconsin and are as pasty white as toothpaste!
And finally, last week, I rode my bike to work, twice!! It's been a little chilly in the morning but it feels great to be able to do it again!
Hopefully the weather continues to warm up because I start playing volleyball outside next week!
