like you just want to crawl into a hole and be alone? Like you shouldn't talk all day (or all week for that matter)? That no matter what you say it's never the right thing or it never comes out the right way?
I'm at that point right now. All it took was one incident and it just kept going downhill from there.
I'm hoping to come out of it soon....but with the weather being so dreary and cold it's hard to accomplish.
::sigh::

Baby Shower Fun!
I hosted my best friend's baby shower last weekend. The days leading up to it were pretty stressful as I was trying to finish some things I was sewing for her gift. Actually I had been working on sewing her gifts for quite a while...the date just snuck up on me!
So here is what I have been working on the past couple of months...
Burp cloths and lots of them!! I have so many more that I have to finish yet too! I absolutely love how they turned out. Hopefully my friend will enjoy them too!
My first time trying to sew a baby block. I used scraps leftover from the burp cloths. It turned out pretty good. A little lopsided but it works :) I also made some taggie toys but I forgot to take a picture of them :(
I put these bibs together in about an hour the night before. I would have liked to make more but just ran out of time! They look so tiny so I hope they will work okay.
And my diaper cake! It's not the prettiest thing in the world but I wanted something, small and fun. I used only one pack (about 50) newborn diapers to create this two tier wonder.
The awesomely delicious cake! I haven't had a cake that good in a LONG time!
Measuring the momma-to-be's belly. The person that one the "string" game was about an inch too long! Not bad at all!
The guests to the shower!
The Momma!
My cousin, momma to be, and their friend
Momma to be and me :)
The entire day went smoothly. The games we played were enjoyable and everyone seemed to have a blast and enjoyed the food. Yay!

Update on Sam #1
We've had Sam just about a month now. And he is doing GREAT! He's definitely showing more of his personality each day which is a good sign. Sadie and him have been getting along just fabulously. They even sleep in the same little doggie bed sometimes!
Yesterday when I came home from work, I found that he got up on our bed and he chewed on my nail filer, chapstick, and Vicks rub. Looks like we will be closing our bedroom door so he doesn't do that. The poor guy is probably bored crazy. We really haven't been on walks this week as the temperatures have been so frigid. Plus, Sam has this sore on the bottom of his foot that tends to bother him the longer we walk....
The vet suggested soaking it in some epsom salt. Um, yeah. That'll be easy...NOT!
But things should be getting better this coming week as it is supposed to be in the mid 30s! YIPPEE!!
Now that Sam is more comfortable with where he's at, he's been using his voice more. Last Saturday, when I was getting the house ready for the Superbowl party, he spotted the neighbor's dog in the back yard.
Happy Friday!

It's SUPER!
Can you believe it! The Packers made it to the Superbowl and WON! What a rough (all those injuries) and an amazing year it has been!
My family came over for the Superbowl so I was preparing food and getting the house ready for the big party!
The spread!
The TV setup. Since our living room is longer than it is wider, we decided to put two TVs back to back. It worked out pretty good!
And MORE food on the table...
The 3 Bean Turkey Chili I made.
Mom's Cheddar Broccoli Soup
Some fabulous meatballs!
It was a great day! Great family, great food, and a GREAT game!!
CONGRATS PACKERS!!

Park Falls Radio Trivia Contest
For those of you who don't know me/us, radio trivia is a BIG part of our life. I've been playing radio trivia for over 20 years! Can you believe it! From searching through books to now searching online the game has changed quite a bit! What hasn't changed is how fun it is. You get to get together with family, eat loads of food, and learn useless information!
Our first trivia contest of the year was on January 29. The hosting radio station, WCQM, does a FABULOUS job all around. Between the points awarded per question, the actual questions, and the pace of the contest.
Here are few pics from the evening:
Before it started!
We have a total of 7 computers set up. 3 people were also playing on laptops!
Halfway through...Shaun is getting tired!
Sadie's bummed because she's tied to a chair
Keith bailed!
Still looking good for staring at a computer for 4+ hours...
Shaun...not so much!
Even Mom and Dad were into it towards the end!
Here's a few questions from the evening:
The average woman says she has 6 of these per month.
A: Bad hair day
There are about three million of these living in Canada and Alaska, but only a few dozen in the lower 48. What are they?
A: Reindeer
There are one in a minute, two in a week, and one in a year. What is it?
A: The letter E
More than 80 percent of Americans say members of this profession are trustworthy, the highest of any job.
A: Nurses
The average American does this 97 times a month, but Canadians do it 50 times more.
A: Watch Youtube videos
Like I said, useless information that will forever be etched into our minds!

January 2011 Margarita Night
This post is a little late. Work has been super busy as we were preparing for a jury trial. But then it got cancelled (again for the third time) and shortly thereafter our client settled (THANK GOD).
So last week, we got the gang together for the monthly margarita celebration!
It was a small group which was a much welcomed size after having the last few nights be overloaded with people!
The self portrait...I just can't get my eyes to stop squinting!
Leanne showing off her pterodactyl (yes I googled the spelling!)
Believe it or not we actually scheduled the next 6 margarita nights! Gotta love it!
After margaritas, we headed to The Bar to play some pool and so Shaun could visit with some people from work...
I attempted to take some self portraits with Leanne....
After The Bar, we headed to Shaun's work to harass his employees! Fun!
Then it was off to do a competitor profile of the local adult shop. Some very interesting stuff can be found there! Who knew some of that stuff even existed!
