The Adventures of Shmel: Dear Tavin: Month Two

Dear Tavin,

Month two flew by just as fast as the first!! And I think it may have been even busier!

The day you turned one month we had a doctor's appointment. Everything looked great and you weighed 10 pounds!!

The weekend of April 21 you had a couple of first. First, you slept through the night!! From 8:30ish to 5:30!!! After eating you fell right back to sleep!

Since then you have slept through the night a couple other times too. It sure is a nice even if I'm getting up at your normal eating times to check on you

That Saturday was my first bit of time away from you :( Dad and I celebrated our anniversary by going out to eat and a movie. You hung out with mom's friend and her daughter. You did great and we enjoyed the little break from you but both agreed that it was weird without you. That night mom's cousins stopped for a visit.

Then on Sunday we went to a church event and then up to see Grandma E and your Great Grandma and Grandpa. You were quite the trooper with all the traveling and eating on the go.

The next week Grandma and Grandpa D. stopped by for a mid-week visit. It was nice to see some new faces!

On Friday, we stopped at a few garage sales to get some outfits for the weekend surprise!

Then Friday night we headed out to Grandma and Grandpa D.'s to surprise Grandma for her birthday!! It was a great weekend with Grandma spoiling you.

After that weekend, it was our last full week together before I went back to work!! Who knew that 8 weeks can go by that fast!!

The next weekend was Cinco de Mayo and margaritas! Before margaritas, Dad also decided to take a little photo shoot!

Yes you did go out for a little but and were quite the trooper consider the restaurant was packed! Dad took you home to Grandma and Grandpa who were over to watch you. They were over because on Sunday you were baptized! What an awesome celebration that was! We are truly loved and blessed with such great family and friends!

May 7 was your first half-day at daycare. I was so ready to go back to work. Your daycare people were shocked at how okay I was to be going back to work. I think it helped knowing I was going to see you in 4 hours vs 9 hours. Then on May 11 we tried a full day of work/daycare. We both made it!

The next week was a full week of work/daycare. By the end of the week I was EXHAUSTED!! Thankfully we are getting into somewhat of a schedule and pattern so it should get easier.

May 13 was Mother's Day and you had your first cold. Stupid daycare!! You were such a trooper through your entire cold.. We managed to snag a few pics when you were in good spirits...
